THAT Skirt and THOSE Shoes
Last month Natasha at The Chic Curve shared a perfect-for-summer skirt which I immediately fell in love with and had to buy! I mean it was on sale so how could I resist?
Natasha’s keen sense of style enlightened me to a serious oversight in my closet this summer – the full mini. I loved her tips on selecting the perfect skirt but ultimately I ended up choosing the same one as her, the girl’s got great taste! (Natasha, I hope you’ll forgive me for my unoriginality, but remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery).
Thanks to Natasha, now that I have THAT skirt for summer, I want to talk about THOSE shoes for summer. Hate them if you must, but I have been L-O-V-I-N-G that Birkenstocks are back in style. Maybe the 90+ temps we’ve been getting in Seattle have made me lazy, but I’ve been living in my Birkenstock sandals lately.
Trends come and go, but some things are here to stay. Maybe Birkenstocks will only be the “it” item for this summer, but here’s two great reasons to love the 230-year old Birkenstock brand all year long:
- Promotes Foot Health: The footbed of Birkenstock sandals, shoes, and clogs are made of cork and natural latex, and contoured in the shape of a healthy foot, based on orthopedically correct support to create a healthy walking environment for your feet.
- Environmentally Sensible Business: The 230-year old Birkenstock brand is dedicated to an environmentally sensible business model through using quality materials and low waste production, repairing shoes & donating old shoes.
Even if you don’t like the Birkenstock design how can you not love what the business stands for?
