A few months ago my mom and I were going through old papers while cleaning out the attic. My parents kept absolutely everything from when I was a kid which can be a lot to weed through. However, digging through all of my papers and letters made us laugh till we cried! One of the funniest things we came across were my old Christmas lists and Santa letters. It appears that one year at about 8 years old, everything I wanted I’d requested to have personalized. I don’t recall if I ever actually received those personalized items, but it seems that my love of all things personalized carried over into my adult life because when I came across these Alex Woo Little Letters on Bauble Bar I had to have them!
I’d seen the Alex Woo Little Letters featured on Gossip Girl and I think that’s when I first fell in love with them. Blair Waldorf was lucky enough to wear the 14kt white gold and diamond little letters but I opted for the sterling silver version. (One day I am hoping for the diamond version though!).
I saved up for these beauties, and ordered them through Bauble Bar since I could also receive points for making such a large purchase and put it towards future jewelry purchases! If you haven’t heard of Bauble Bar yet and you love jewelry as much as I do, you definitely should check it out, you can sign up here. You get points for every purchase and can redeem them on jewelry whenever you want!
I admit, I was apprehensive about ordering something I’d never seen in person (and that I couldn’t return). But then I figured if Blair Waldorf could wear them, it’s a safe bet that they were high quality… even if I was only purchasing the sterling silver version and not Blair’s highly coveted diamond-adorned letters. The craftsmanship is beautiful and each letter is unique and handcut so no two letters are exactly the same. The letters hang from a diamond-cut sterling silver chain.
I love these letters because I can wear them together or separate. They’re the perfect addition to a casual weekend look but also look great as a delicate piece to add into your work wardrobe.
