In August, Jon and I celebrated our anniversary. We started the day with a 30-mile bike ride on the Burke-Gilman Trail, riding from Bothell to Gasworks Park, making a pit stop at Evolution Fresh for a healthy snack. After our ride, we freshened up for a nice dinner at the Metropolitan Grill in Seattle.
After spending the day all sweaty and greasy from a long bike ride, I wanted to dress up and look my best! Earlier in the summer when I ordered this polka dot skirt from eShakti, I also spotted this tulle and lip printed skirt. I’d been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it!
The romantic-inspired look was perfect for our anniversary dinner, and the Metropolitan Grill didn’t disappoint! As we anticipated, the restaurant really ran the gamut on dresscode. There were people there in full suits, while others were in shorts and flip flops, and just about everywhere in between. But I guess that’s Seattle for you!
As I mentioned, I ordered this skirt from eShakti with custom measurements to fit my shape perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the skirt (tulle can be a tricky beast). I received so many compliments on this skirt and a number of women thought it was vintage! Every time I put this on, I feel so flirty and feminine. It makes it hard not to smile!
I also have to take a minute to highlight my silver drop diamond earrings. Jon gave them to me for our anniversary – the boy certainly has good taste!
