Goodwill Style: Weekend Wear
Last up on my Goodwill style series is a post all about taking chances and experimenting with your personal style. The best part about thrift shopping is that you don’t need to pay full price to try out a more trendy piece. I typically don’t wear neon-tribal print shirts, but when I saw this tanktop, I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone and test out this style. I mean, for only $1.99 how could I pass it up?
When I originally styled this outfit, I wanted to go for a simpler look with only my KUT crops and white denim jacket. I figured that a neon pink shirt and a white jacket were already bold enough for me, so I didn’t want to call even more attention to my outfit. But, you know how you’re getting dressed in the morning and you start pulling things out of your closet, ready to try a new style? I started mixing and matching, trying on various combinations of jewelry and color (imagine clothes and accessories flying everywhere).
I was nervous about the multiple combinations – denim on denim, various colors, and gold and silver jewelry – but I’m ultimately very happy with the end result!
