Portrait Photography with Missy Palacol

Oh hey friends, remember me? It’s been a hot minute since I sat down to write a blog post. It seems like life suddenly took off at full speed and I’ve been neglecting writing. Oops.

In the last 6 weeks it seems like life has been all over the place. Here’s some of the randomness that’s been our lives:

  • We traveled to Whistler, Canada
  • I celebrated my first annual 29th birthday
  • We performed in a dance recital
  • We took a last minute vacation to Hawaii (right when the volcano started erupting!)
  • We had a weekend getaway to Vashon Island
  • I got promoted (still grindin’ at that day job)
  • Our friends got married
  • Our house was in a home tour supporting the local chapter of PEO International

All of that fun-ness was layered in on top of our normal hustle of work, wedding planning, workouts, trailer renovations, meal planning, cat parenting, and sleeping. Not sure how we got any of the latter, but somehow we did.

But I’m back and excited to share more details on all of the happenings in our life, so stay tuned! But first, let’s talk about portrait photography, which is the real reason why we’re here today.

I know what you’re thinking: Kate you get your picture taken all of the time. How is this any different? While it’s true, I do get my picture taken frequently, the chance to get all dolled up and take photos with the best Seattle portrait photographer, Missy Palacol, is not an everyday experience.

Missy and I ventured out to Pine Creek Farms & Nursery, a hidden gem on the outskirts of Monroe. Not only do these beautiful grounds serve as a garden and nursery, but also as a wedding and event venue. It was the perfect backdrop to capture this moment.

These photos show this slice of my life and who I am at this time: a 29-year old woman who loves to adventure and explore the outdoors, even when I’m in a pretty skirt.
